About Solar Hot Water solar hot water panels in apt complex

Solar hot water is not solar photovoltaic. Solar photovoltaic panels produce electricity  when the sun shines whereas solar hot water panels produces hot water by letting the energy of the sun heat water running through copper pipes in solar collectors.

Why should you get a solar hot water system?

  1. It's an easy and free way to heat your water without using a lot of electricity. You are naturally heating the water with the energy of the sun.
  2. It helps the planet by not using non-renewable energy sources.
  3. You can save money on your electricy or gas bill.

What kind of solar hot water systems do you install?

How do I know if I am a candidate for a solar hot water system?

You need to have the following in order for solar hot water to be economically viable for you:

1. Have a southern facing roof or ground area with no shading.
2. Have the right tilt to the panels - approximately 15% at least.
3. Have space on your roof or ground area to mount the panels.
4. Have a path between 40' - 80' for the panel copper tubing and wires to the water storage tank.
5. Use the right solar hot water system - with anti-freeze or without  depending on climate.

Solar Technologies will design and install your solar hot water system. With over 30+ years experience in the solar energy industry, we've seen designs improve significantly and now is a great time to have a solar hot water system installed.
