The Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008 improved the
Residential Renewable Energy Tax Credit so that you can take 30%

-Public Incentives – The California Solar Initiative will pay you up to
$1.90 per watt to install a solar power system. You’ll get a federal
tax credit of 30% off the cost of your solar power system after rebate.
You’ll also get a 5-year accelerated depreciation on commercial solar
power systems. You are not paid to buy stocks.

-Green Investment – Your solar power system helps the planet by
reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
