* 84% of homeowners felt that a solar PV system would be an important selling point.
Fueled by the 30% tax credit, consumer awareness of solar powered homes is growing,
especially in markets with costly utility rates such as California. Solar has also become
more affordable with systems paying themselves off in 5-7 years. The ongoing benefit
of a home with a hedge against electric rate inflation is being recognized as a valuable commodity.
